Service details and important policies

A successful upgrade begins with compatibility. The technician reviews the computer model, available slots or interfaces, power and cooling limits, operating-system support, performance goal, and the condition of related components before recommending parts and labor.

Documented workflow

What to expect

  1. The current configuration and desired outcome are documented.
  2. Compatible parts, expected benefit, cost, and availability are reviewed.
  3. The approved component is installed within the written scope.
  4. The computer is tested for hardware recognition and available functionality.

Important service notes

Scope, access, and limitations

  • Data migration, cloning, operating-system work, licensing, application setup, and unrelated repair are not included unless specifically listed.
  • Vendor availability, component revisions, shipping, taxes, and additional compatibility findings may require an updated estimate before work continues.
  • For client-provided parts, the client is responsible for compatibility and condition. Installation labor is non-refundable, and 1010Computers does not provide a part warranty for components it did not supply.
